From March 27 to May 28, the eighth edition of BOOM! Growing up in books transforms Bologna into the world capital of children's literature through a very rich program that accompanies the 62nd edition of Bologna Children's Book Fair (31 March-3 April 2025), from the days immediately preceding it to the following two months.

An unmissable opportunity to meet the best of national and international production, which thanks to its long duration allows a profound dialogue between the most important voices of illustration and children's literature worldwide and their readers who, thanks to BOOM! at school, in Bologna and in the Metropolitan City (but also from outside the city), they will have the opportunity to meet them.

Growing in Books 2025 is promoted by the City of Bologna and BolognaFiere, edited by the Library and Cultural Welfare Sector together with Hamelin as part of the Bologna Reading Pact and enjoys the patronage of IBBY (International Board on Book for Young People) Italy, an international organization that supports the right to books and reading for girls and boys, girls and boys around the world.
