Radically Adolescent Community Fund

21 selected proposals

The selection phase of the first edition of the Radically Adolescent Communities Fund, funded by the PN Metro plus 2021-2027 and promoted by the City of Bologna and the IU Rusconi Ghigi Foundation, has ended to support, with economic and project resources, the youth proposals to be carried out in the six districts of Bologna.

The call collected a total of 76 applications from groups of girls and boys between the ages of 14 and 20, who presented ideas to improve the city. More than 230 young Bolognese people involved, whose ideas were evaluated on the basis of four fundamental criteria:

• innovation and creativity
• social and territorial impact
• participation and involvement
• feasibility and sustainability

At the end of the evaluation, the commission selected 21 proposals, which will be funded for a total of 30,000 euros. The projects selected will see the active involvement of young people in the six districts of Bologna, with at least three initiatives for each neighborhood, ranging from cultural and social projects to sports proposals.

In April 2025, the idea-to-project training course will start, a short cycle of co-design meetings, coordinated by the IU Rusconi Ghigi Foundation and dedicated to youth groups selected to acquire tools useful for transforming their ideas into concrete, sustainable projects capable of generating a positive impact on the city's neighborhoods.
Each selected initiative will be subject to approval by the competent institutions and formalized through an agreement between the parties involved, which will be defined through a special collaboration agreement.

The 21 winning projects

Borgo Panigale district - Reno

• Helping the Nicholas Green with new ideas — Nicholas Green Park
  A practical laboratory of creativity and shared care to improve the park
• Olmi Fest — Giardino degli Olmi
  Concert with young artists from the Bologna underground scene
• Day of Social Sport — Giardino degli Olmi Sports day including soccer, volleyball, soccer tennis, spikeball, frisbee and slackline

Navile district

• Armonoise — Parco della Zucca/Villa Angeletti/Montagnola (to be defined)
  Public event to discover music, meditation and the construction of musical instruments
• Music on the streets — Piazza Lucio Dalla Artistic performances to promote the socialization of young people who attend Bolognina
• Culturap - Texts and heads! — Piazzetta Maccaferri (Gorki Center) Street show-style rap and freestyle battle workshops
• Bolognina Boxing Camp — Corte 3, Via Nicolò dell'Arca
  Outdoor boxing meetings in the heart of Bolognina

Porto District - Zaragoza

• Sport in Velo — Velodrome Park
  Tournaments and sporting events on the soccer field in memory of Fallou
• Konvivio — Liceo Righi (to be defined)
  Redevelop an unused space in the school to make it a meeting place and lunch for student
• Giardino Carracci — Carracci Middle Schools
  Redevelopment of the school garden with natural furniture

San Donato district - San Vitale

• Outside the neighborhood — Piazza dei Colori
  A multi-day journey in collaboration with Libera to discover new places and themes such as the fight against the Mafia and educational poverty and the organization of a video-photographic exhibition
• Spaziolento — Il Casalone
  Space to be used to facilitate more functions for workshops, study and socializing for boys and girls between 14 and 20 years old
• Solidarity connections in Cyrenaica
  After School with books and shared activities in a space for multicultural aggregation
• BarattiamoloStile — CBF premises (Via Libia 53)
  Swap party as an alternative to fast fashion

Santo Stefano district

• FestAbo — Filla (Montagnola)
  Student press festival in the new Montagnola spaces
• Scacco Matto — Parco Montagnola/Baraccano (to be defined)
  An outdoor space for playing chess
• Sex Education — Teatro del Baraccano (to be defined)
  Sentimental education with an interactive show

Savena district

• We Are Savena — The entire digital youth
  community district to tell the story of the Savena district through social media
• A Children's Place — Cresco Populonia space
  Equip the courtyard with a basket, soccer goals and benches to enjoy the nice days.
• Let's improve our center — Cresco Abba 6
  Equip the center with Playstation, foosball, table tennis and basketball hoop
• Urban Festival — Square in the neighborhood (to be defined)
  Urban festival organized by girls and boys with dance, writing, DJing, MCing
