Friendly store

For the creation of a network of stores that are friendly to girls and boys

To promote a city that is increasingly welcoming and attentive to the needs of childhood and adolescence, the Negozio Amico project is promoting the creation of a network of shops and small neighborhood businesses that can also be points of reference for boys and girls and for those who are new parents.

The project is promoted by the Consulta Cinnica and by A.I.M.I. | Italian Children's Massage Association; it is supported by the City of Bologna and four trade associations: ConfCommercio Ascom Bologna, Confesercents, CNA and Fenimar.
The project is operating in the Santo Stefano and Navile districts, but will soon be extended to other city districts.
The Municipality, in addition to the patronage, also supports the communication part, thus starting a dialogue with the city and with trade associations, aimed at raising awareness of families and merchants on this project to rebuild the social fabric.

The stores are hubs of interaction, garrisons that are always present in the neighborhood and can be points of reference in case of need, or become reception and rest spaces for minors who move around the city independently, or for parents who go out with babies and may need to feel reassured and welcomed even outside the home.

The businesses that have joined display a window sticker that makes them recognizable to citizens.

Yellow Sticker

If you are a girl or a boy

• In stores that display the yellow Friendly store sticker, you can find assistance in case of need, such as: waiting for someone, refilling the bottle, recharging the phone or sheltering yourself from the rain.

If you are a mom or a dad

• A friendly store can be a point of reference for you, your sons and daughters, even when you are not there.
  A support point that can offer them those small services that allow them to experience their first autonomies in safety and tranquility

If you have a business

• Joining the initiative is simple: just display the sticker in the window. In this way, your store will become a point of reference and a precious garrison, to welcome and shelter girls and boys.

Blue “Milky Way” Sticker

If you are a parent of a baby

• In stores that display the blue “Milky Way” sticker you can stop to breastfeed, or for the small needs of the first few exits.
  You will experience the beauty of welcoming sociality

Friendly shop is a service offered free of charge by merchants.

Consult the map of the network created thanks to the collaboration with ROC Social Street.
On the map you will find:

• the stores participating in the project;
• Baby Pit-Stop points where you can change your baby with the help of a changing table;
• the friendly routes, in green color, that you can use in the security of always finding a little help for your needs.
