GIL | Parenting, Identity, and Work

A project to explore the dynamics between parenting and participation in the labor market.
The main objective of the GIL | Parenting, Identity, and Work project is to understand the role that identity plays in these significant choices in the attachment of mothers and fathers to the labor market, with a particular focus on pre-birth expectations compared to the post-partum reality and on how these expectations can be influenced by identity and social pressures. To do this, we aim to conduct a study on two samples of the population: parents expecting their first child and parents with their first child not older than 6 years.
Who can participate?
The project is aimed at:
- parents expecting their first child, to explore the expectations of new parents about their expectations of parenting and participation in the labor market;
- parents with their first child not older than 6 years, to assess the impact of social norms and parental identity on work choices.
Why participate?
For each completed questionnaire, 1 euro will be donated to the AGEOP Research Onlus association - Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Parents Association. If the partner also completes the questionnaire, 3 euros will be donated for each pair of
questionnaires completed.In addition, those who have filled out the questionnaire will participate in the drawing of some Amazon vouchers worth 30 euros. If, once drawn, the partner has also participated then the voucher will be equal to 70 euros. If there is no partner, the voucher drawn will be 35 euros
