A book as a gift
Every year, the Municipality and the libraries of Bologna, on the occasion of the World Day of the Rights of the Child, welcome girls and boys born and born during the last year with the gift of a book.
Welcome to a community of readers, convinced that family reading can be a fundamental experience for the harmonious growth of children and girls, an activity that contributes to psycho-physical well-being, to the development of language, thought and curiosity.
Along with the book, adults and children will find suggestions for future readings together, references to libraries and educational services where they can borrow free of charge books for very young children in many languages and information material on municipal educational and school services.
New and new born can pick up the gift at the public reading library closest to their home, during opening hours.
