Digital education project for the conscious and responsible use of smartphones and the network

What is a smartphone license

Smartphone license is a digital education project for the training of active and aware citizens. The instrument of interest in the project, to which the “license” to enable correct use is dedicated, is the Smartphone, that is, the means of connecting to the network that, due to its peculiarity of always being “under hand”, strongly influences our habits, at all times.
The goal is to make people aware of the disruption that this technological tool has brought to everyday life and to inform both about the advantages and the critical issues that the network offers.
The important transformations that 'time' and 'space' have had in the new technology will be evaluated and how their alteration affects everyday life, both in a favorable way and, at times, even potentially harmful. We will investigate the reasons why it is difficult for everyone to disconnect from the connection, studying together what are the elements of fascination that keep us glued to the smartphone for hours.

The route

The project, in this edition relating to the 2024/2025 school year, is divided into two awareness-raising and information courses organized in schools:

• the first course is aimed at adults and involves teachers and families. The purpose is to provide good skills for the correct use of the network and the Smartphone, so that they transmit them to minors in an aligned and consistent manner - both at school, at home, and in all the contexts that children and young people attend - adopting the same rules, in
a reassuring common line;
• The second course is aimed at minors, starting from the fourth class of primary school up to the first and second classes of first grade secondary school and aims to educate in an intelligent use of the network and promote timely interventions to avoid the consolidation of unconscious behavior or poor usage practices. Minors are trained by teachers and participate in a final in-depth workshop with professionals in the psychopedagogical field.

Photo Contest

A photo contest will be proposed as a training tool within the classes involved aimed at transferring concepts and skills useful for surfing the net safely such as: violation of privacy; identity theft; online defamation; cyberstalking/cyberbullying; etc.

The Card

At the end of the course, the boys and girls involved in the project will be able to receive their smartphone license.
